Saving money can be tough, especially when you like to dine in nice restaurants, wear great clothes, give your children the best of everything life has to offer and travel 2 or 3 times a year. I am "that" woman, hence why I feel the need to research and share my findings with others.
Being laid off forced me to re-evaluate my priorities and figure out ways to be resourceful. Granted, I still went out and got a job shortly thereafter, but the money is not the same and I would be lying if I said I don't like the things money can buy...
I want to help by sharing my learnings with you. My belief is there is strength in numbers. With more of us sharing ideas and swapping tips, we can develop healthier attitudes towards saving money.
It’s not about how much we make, it’s about living within our means. Saving has to become part of the everyday routine or habit. That doesn't mean we can't have fun doing it.
I would like to prove that we don't need to be rich to enjoy the finer things. Remember: It's the journey, not the destination- and the "finer things" are sometimes the simple pleasures.
